'Old Turnpike' shown on 19th century map as an irregular shaped building in a triangular enclosure to the west of the road junction.

Single storey tollhouse on the south side of a minor road to Whitford from Musbury (citing Kanefsky 1976).

Half a mile northwest of Musbury on minor road to Whitford, just past a T-junction back to the A358 Axmouth to Axminster road, on the south side of the road. A single-storey tollhouse, very similar to those of Barnstaple Trust.

Former toll house thought to have been originally built in the 19th century for the Devon and Dorset Turnpike Trust. It is a single storey building, taking the form of a lodge cottage, with an angled bay at the front. The bay has Gothick arch headed windows and doorway, and a porch which opens onto the road. The slate roof is hipped, the section over the bay extending down from the ridge.
