Several rectilinear earthwork banks, between 2 and 2.5 metres wide, are visible on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014 and aerial photographs taken from 1947 onwards. They seem to form two conjoined rectilinear enclosures immediately to the south of Middle Westwater Farm, and may have been infields associated with early phases of settlement here. They are not depicted on the available historic maps and are interpreted as the remains of a medieval or post-medieval boundary banks that went out of use by the mid-19th century.
