Summary

Northern hut of a pair recorded in 1977 by the Ordnance Survey (see also MDV13259). Hut consists of a single band of stones 3.0m. in diameter, 0.5m. wide and 0.2m. high with no visible entrance.

Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1977, SX66SE110 (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV164231.

(07/12/1977) Found at SX 67896317 during field investigation are two poorly preserved Type 1 hut circles (Type site SX 56 SE 19) levelled into the south-east slopes of Zeal Hill at 290.0m. O.D.
The southern hut has an internal diameter of 3.5m. with rubble walling 0.8m. wide and 0.4m. high; there is a break in the north side, and another in the south which was probably the entrance. The other hut is represented by a single band of stones 3.0m. in diameter, 0.5m. wide and 0.2m. high with no visible entrance.
