On the eastern edge of a disused quarry is a possible trial pit. It is a circular depression 7m in diameter and 0.7m deep. It is dug into the displaced overburden and is not a hut circle but probably associated with the quarry working.

Full description

PATTISON, Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV151316.

Vis=18/1/1988 (pattison) at sx53107573 a small disused quarry. It is not recorded on os 6" 1887 whereas other nearby are, but it had appeared by 1907. It is probably a stone quarry for local use.
