Summary

A possible ring ditch of probable prehistoric to Roman date was visible on aerial photographs of the 1960s onwards as a cropmark on gentle northwest facing slopes east of Barton Cross, Huxham, overlooking the Culm Valley. Probably same features as recorded as MDV10271.

East of huxham, circular ring ditch, recorded as cropmark by f. Griffith in june 1984. Approx diam 60-70m. Linear double ditched feature adjacent, visible on dap/o 1 only (ap).

A possible ring ditch circa 25 metres in diameter and of probable prehistoric to Roman date was visible on aerial photographs of the 1960s onwards as a cropmark on gentle northwest facing slopes east of Barton Cross, Huxham, overlooking the Culm Valley. A smaller possible ring ditch up to 9 metres in diameter abuts or intersects the south-eastern edge of the larger feature. Probably the same features as recorded in MDV10271.
