Full description
Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.
Milestone ('M.S') marked on 1880s-1890s 25 inch Ordnance Survey map, on west side of 'PLYMOUTH & DARTMOOR TRAMWAY', to south of 'Darklake'. Also shown on 1907 6 inch map but not on 1954 map.

Gray, V., 1985 - 1986, Tramway Milestone (Worksheet). SDV340919.
Milestone on east side of tramway with '8' cut into chamfered top which slopes away from track. Body of stone is a circular pillar standing 0.63 metres above ground, diameter 0.3 metres. This stone has probably been moved from the other side of the track. Other details: Site visit 24/05/1982.
