Full description
Gray, V., 1982 - 1986, Barn (Worksheet). SDV341174.
1. Former farmhouse of the 1600s now used as a calf house and haystore.
2. Site visit 06/05/1982. Two storey building with the remains of a pole stair which appears to have been unfinished and superseded by the building of an extension on this north side, with a wooden stairway. The extension has a doorway in the west side and a wooden mullioned, ovolu moulded two light window in the north wall. There is an outbuilt chimney at the west end of the building and inside a large fireplace with a wooden lintel. There are the remains of an outbuilt chimney to the east of the extension. The roofing has been replaced by corrugated iron. The upper floor has been renewed and the probable remains are outside. There are modern windows on the south front. Other details: Sketch plan.
