Vis=8/3/1989 (os) this appears to be a ring cairn, maximum diameter c 15m, bank up to 2.2m wide and 0.4m high, with internal scarp. Under newly-planted trees (os).

1871, Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV98637.

Diameter 10m and height 0.5m. Circular depression (1871) occupying site of cairn said to have been removed in the 1800's (hutchinson cited by grinsell, who gives ngr as sy10638926).

Vis=10/9/1991 (shenfield) ruined cairn or barrow recorded at sy10618925 may refer to this feature. Diam 13.2m internal, 16.3m external. Outline difficult to trace owing to dense vegetation, tree trunks and new coniferous plantation. Central depression 0.4m deep

Salvatore, J. P., 1999, Two Cairns in Bulverton Plantation (Sidmouth) (Un-published). SDV348368.

Site visit 13th April 1999. Two carins are reported by Hutchinson near the northern tip of Bulverton Hill. Both appear to have suffered stone robbing during the 19th century. The area is now mature conifer plantation and no remains consisitent with the above ground survival of the [southernmost] cairn were observed during the Monument Protection Programme field assessment. Not recommended for scheduling.
