Full description
Reichel, O. J., 1928 - 1938, The Hundred of Black Torrington in Early Times, 190,191,211,243 (Article in Monograph). SDV2105.
Woodacott was Wica in domesday. It was held by the English thanes before and after the conquest. The tenant was Eldred, or Adret, the Forester who retained possession by acting as the king's forester.
