Farmstead known as seckington is shown on os 6" 1964 map. Seckington first occurs in documents as sakemanne(s)ton in 1301 from the calendar of inquisitions post mortem. No old english word sacumann is known, though it is a conceivable name for someone who engages in a lawsuit (gover, mawer + stenton).
