HER Number:MDV2901
Name:Cairn south of Spurrell's Cross, Ugborough Moor

Recorded as a cairn in 1950 by the Ordnance Survey (measuring 12.0 metres in diameter by 0.5 metres high). Recorded as 'overgrown and dilapidated' in the late 1970s. Greeves (1999) states that in fact this is the remains of a substantial rectangular two-building. Aligned north-south, its external wall faces are mounded with turf. On the east side and close to the southern end of the main building, are the foundations of an apparently detached structure (single roomed?), also with mounded turf against external faces.
