AP, Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV143317.

Parkfield(square). Single ditched stirrup-shaped enclosure roughly 50m x 70m, with the straight side at the se. Recorded as crop mark july 1984 by f. M. Griffith. Entrance gap in se side (ap).

Cropmarks of levelled ditches, circa 3m in width, are visible on oblique aerial photographs taken in 1984 and 1989, on gentle northeast facing slope to the north of Hooper Hayes Copse, Staverton. The cropmarks form a sub-rectangular enclosure, circa 40m in length by 30m in width, with rounded corners to the northwest and more angular corners and well-defined entranceway to the southeast. Its form and proximity to other enclosures identified in this area would suggest a prehistoric or Romano-British date.
