Vis=-/-/9/1997 (ea) c.13m n-s by 10.2m e-w by c.1.3m high on n side. Truncated on e side by a path. At this point part of a section through it is visible, revealing small pieces of concrete in uppermost layers (just under turf) indicating that the mound has been added to in recent years. On its w side the close proximity to the tarmac track into the site and the rather angular slope of the mound, suggest that it has been altered; perhaps having soil removed rather than added. The top has a flat surface, which may have been levelled off when the triangulation pillar was set up (ea).

An oval mound is visible on aerial photographs of 1950 as an oval earthwork approximately 16m by 13m in size. The mound is located between covered reservoirs to the east and a track to the west.
The mound is probably the remains of a barrow of Bronze Age date. The earthwork has probably been damaged by the construction of the reservoir and associated infrastructure, particularly by the track to the west.
