A mound is visible on digital images derived from aerial photographs of 2015 as a roughly circular subtle earthwork approximately 12m in diameter, on the gentle north-west facing upper slopes of Ideford Common, Chudleigh.
The mound may be the remains of a barrow of Bronze Age date, part of a wider barrow cemetery recorded across Ideford Common (MDV79238).
The mound and an irregularly shaped area extending up to 5m from it, are visible as an area of pale vegetation on aerial photographs of 1946. The pale area around the mound might be indicative of a spread of mound material.
