Farmstead enclosure of probable iron age or romano-british date (higbee).
MAXIMUM DIMENSIONS 100M X 100M APPROX, Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV220971.
Halse farm. Large triple ditched rectangular enclosure (maximum dimensions 100m x 100m approx) (s side not visible). Recorded as cropmark by f. Griffith in june 1984.

Vis=19/4/1991 (simpson) the site lies on a top of a small hill, the land slopes down in all directions from the site. No trace of earthworks (dprfp).

A multi-ditched rectilinear enclosure is visible on aerial photos (p1). It possesses at least three concentric ditches, with a possible fourth outer ditch visible at its NE edge. At its visible limits the enclosure measures 122m x 86m. Its southern extent is not visible. The enclosure has been digitally plotted as part of the National Mapping Programme.
