The Gidleigh Common reave system is located on the east side of Buttern Hill between Whitemoor Marsh and the North Teign river. The Scarhill Terminal Reave forms the upper boundary of the system, and it is notable that this reave extends as far as the Teign Divider Reave, which may suggest that the Gidleigh Common reaves are a northward extension of the Kes Tor reave system. The Gidleigh Common parallel reaves are oriented SW-NE, and except around Buttern Hill they are badly mutilated. It is not known to what extent they extended towards the east.
