(May 1985) One of a number of charcoal burning platforms recorded in Houndsmoor Wood during walkover survey in 1985. In woodland at SX 75?76 8973. Measures 6m in diameter. Associated with track.
[NB: shown on plan with a zig-zag track leading southwards. Grid reference appears to have been added wrongly and the corresponding HER record was placed outside the woodland area. If grid reference is SX 7596 8973, this matches the hearth shown on the 1985 plan, and also was noted in 2017-18 survey. Richards, A. F., 11/10/2022].
