One of a number of charcoal burning platforms recorded in Hitchcombe Wood during walkover survey in 1985. In woodland, measures 6m by 3m. A platform recorded in the 2017-18 survey nearby appears likely to refer to the same platform.

(May 1985) One of a number of charcoal burning platforms recorded in Hitchcombe Wood during walkover survey in 1985. In woodland at SX 7731 8961. Measures 6m by 3m.

Parkins, M., 2017-2018, Fingle Wood archaeological features, C118A (Report - Survey). SDV362748.

A platform is recorded on layer using GPS at SX 7731 8959; likely that this refers to the same feature as 1985 survey.
