Site of a platform recorded in 1985, at the track junction; evidenced by a concentration of charcoal. Black soil with small fragments of charcoal on both sides of track was noted in 2017-18 survey work.

McCrone, P., 1985, An Archaeological Survey of Some Dartmoor Woodlands (Report - Survey). SDV360479.

(Visited May 1985). SX 7525 8959 Platform recorded in woodland. Size uncertain largely obliterated by track junction. Located by charcoal concentration in soil and wheel ruts.

Parkins, M., 2017-2018, Fingle Wood archaeological features, C47 (Report - Survey). SDV362748.

Black soil with small fragments of charcoal on both sides of track. Possibly was a platform destroyed by historic track building.
