Hurston House. Early 19th century with a rear wing that could be 17th century or earlier, some 20th century alterations. Colourwashed and rendered; cob, brick and stone; slate roof gabled at ends, brick stacks. L-shaped plan with north and east wings and a curve at the junction between the wings. The north wing is said to be 17th century or earlier and may be part of an old house reused as a service wing after the early 19th century extension was built. Two storeys. Unusual and attractive building.
