A D-shaped ditched enclosure of probable later prehistoric or Roman date is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs of the 1980s onward approximately 180 metres to the north-west of Garlanhayes Farm. The enclosure is situated near the tip of a south-west facing spur overlooking the confluence of the River Culm with its tributary the River Weaver. The cropmark of the ditch is up to circa 3 metres wide and encloses a space upto circa 42 metres across and an area of circa 1100 square metres.
