Summary

Pinn Barton and farm buildings on south west Pinn Lane, 16th century, 2 storeys. L-shaped. Thatched. Block at right-angles to road is of stone, rubble on sw and dressed facing road. The end facing the road is gabled with flat stone coping on roof resting on incised stone corbels. There is a base of rubble with chamfered stone top. The ne elevation of this block is roughcast. The other block at right angles to above and parallel to road is all roughcast except for large external stone chimney in centre, small dressed stone in centre with granite blocks. This bears an old date stone with 3 small incised ornaments and an inscription:- ano 1587 r. P. I. P.
