DPRFP, Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV262469.

Cofford farm. Polygonal single ditched enclosure (west side not visible). Recorded as cropmark by f. Griffith in june and july 1984. Vis=17/3/1989 (robinson). Site occupies small level area in floor of small dry side valley extending onto steep slope to e. Hedge on w has curved and steeply lynchetted length that could represent the w side of the enclosure (dprfp).

Former ditch defined field boundaries are visible as cropmarks on DAP aerial photographs of 1984 and 1985. The cropmarks correspond closely with field boundaries depicted on the tithe map for Kenton. The field boundaries are not depicted on the Ordnance Survey 25 inch map and were therefore probably removed between circa 1840 and circa 1880.
