Full description

South West Heritage Trust, 1838-1848, Digitised Tithe Maps and Transcribed Apportionments (Cartographic). SDV359954.

Farm is depicted on the Tithe Map; no 2200 on the Widecombe apportionment (Oldsbrim Estate) 'Houses, Gardens, etc.', owned by Henry Caunter, occupied by William French. Three buildings shown; two rectangular, aligned roughly north-south; the farmhouse is the east building. A third, smaller square structure shown between them.

Granite chimneystack, probably of 19th century, in centre of ridge at right-hand part of house. Probably a 3-room and cross-passage plan. Non-domestic room possibly a former shippon. Two storeys. Roof timbers of lower end replaced in 20th century.
