Full description
Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.
Forder farmstead shown on 19th century map as two groups of adjoining buildings on the north and south sides of an irregular shaped yard to the west of the road.
Unknown, 1975, Ugborough Parish Checklist (Worksheet). SDV340848.
Forder farmstead with a farmhouse and buildings. In the Forder valley, 3/4 mile east of Bittaford Viaduct. A small stone-built farmhouse, probably18th century in origin, with one end chimney, two storeys and two windows in the upper one. Scattered stone farm buildings in poor condition. Barn with hipped roof but original roof gone.1781 Land Tax Assessment lists Forder assessed at £1.8.0d.
