Beacon Hill on Lundy Island at 159m above sea level. Marked on Norden's map of 1695. Site of ancient coastal light and medieval beacon.

No further information but position is eminently suitable.

Possibly originated as medieval beacon associated with a votive chapel, eg to St Anne. Possibility that the two sites co-existed here. Probably any traces removed by building of old light, unless the beacon was in or closely associated with chapel of St Anne/St Helen (SS14SW/13) Other details: 101122.
