Site visited on 23rd August 1979. Modern name is 'Wooder Manor Hotel'. Crossing referred to it as the Town Manor because it was used as a country residence earlier this century. In 1843 Wooder was referred to as a farm, this building is no longer there and the present one is Victorian. A corner stone is dated 1861. The layout of the house is completely different to that on the 1843 tithe map. Behind the main hotel are the coach house and stables which is now part of the hotel.
