The building in Dicken's Marsh, now used as a cart and cattle shed called The Old Soap House was once used for the making of soap. Soap making was a minor Dalwood industry possibly connected with the textile working. It may have belonged to a man named Stocker who lived at Eastons and was a soap boiler by trade.
