Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

'Whiteley' shown on 19th century map as a group of buildings in an irregular shaped enclosure to the south of the road.

Whiteley, farmhouse and outbuildings. Situated in the Lud Brook valley, grouped with Earlscombe and Broadaford. Stone-built 19th century house; two storeys; two end chimneys. Granite corners to random stone walls. Also two storey barn. 1781 Land Tax Assessment listed 'Whitley' at £2.1s.2d.
