Summary

There was formerly a concentration of rubble in a former orchard at Bradley Manor which was possibly the site of the dovecote. There are now no surviving remains above ground. The orchard is named as Culver Orchard, Culver meaning a dove or pigeon.

Full description

National Trust, 1984, Bradley Manor (Report - Survey). SDV307144.

Although the structure of the dovecote and farm buildings no longer survives, there is a concentration of rubble in the orchard. The orchard, has recently been cleared of scrub and brambles, but only two apple trees remain.

A site visit in March 2008 found no visible evidence of the 'concentration of rubble' referred to in the National Trust Report. The orchard is named as Culver Orchard on Woolners map of Bradley Manor of 1955.
