1487, Owley Moor Gate (Unknown). SDV161165.

Owle yeat. One of 8 yeats on the 1478? map of dartmoor. This is clearly owley moor gate, a gate still used for cattle taken to depasture the open moor east of ugborough beacon. The gate at the end of a track which starts at owley behind a house known as owley cottage would have given access to the tin workings on the glaze brook at glaze meet and above.
