Summary

One of the probable medieval gateways onto the moor. This gate is known as Peek Moor Gate and is situated at the end of the road from Cheston, where the road turns down the hill to Owley. The gate gives access to the eastern slopes of Ugborough Beacon, and also to the tin workings in the Glaze Valley. Gate is still in use.
