Summary

Vis=10/1/1983 (belsey). Higher and lower lidgate. This field is situated north of the point where the lane from bowden farm opens on to buckland common. There is a massive bank under the present boundary wall at right angles to the line of a reave. The bank extends northwards beyond this field to give the outline of another enclosure (belsey). Vis=16/2/1987 (belsey). Two stone clearance piles also outside field boundary. Shallow ditch on the common side of wall possibly an animal gully or 'cornditch'. Adjacent to this field there is a moorgate now labelled ripman's gate (belsey).
