Full description

Department of Environment, 1985, Bittadon, 6 (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV340862.

Range of farm buildings, early 19th century, 15 metres north of Bittadon Barton. Comprised of barn, stables, root store and outbuildings. Rubble with part slate, part corrugated asbestos roofs at lower end. In 4 gable ended sections. Deep cartway entrance. The original mangers survive. To rear of barn is a right angled projection which partially houses an operating overshot waterwheel of iron with wood paddles, formerly used for threshing, now powering a generator. Upper outshut with rootstore behind is blind fronted. Included for group value.
