Wide deep gully, recently excavated to collect water from phillips leat. The gully runs from cotor brook to spanish lake and cuts through phillips leat. It possibly replaced an earthwork dam, which, according to haynes, was constructed in 1972 to divert water to spanish lake. Dimensions: length 155m x breadth 4m x depth 1.50m (mercer).
