Full description
Department of Environment, 1984, Marwood, 19 (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV85085.
Prixford House, built in the 18th century and remodelled in mid 19th century with an early range at rear. Main block, brick side wall. Two and half storeys. Slate roof with lead rolls. Three bays. Single depth plan, symmetrical. Timber sashes. An 18th century dog-leg stair with twisted balusters, square newels, and moulded string and rail. Large roof principles exposed in earlier wing. Main block has large square panelling.
