A small linear depression is visible on aerial photographs north of Bratton Fleming Barrows. It is depicted but not annotated on the first edition Ordnance Survey map, suggesting it was abandoned some time prior to publication in 1889. It most likely dates to the Post Medieval period. There is no indication as to what material was extracted here, but the linear alignment suggests a mineral seam was being exploited, possibly iron ore. Other details: Monument Number 1488825.

Ordnance Survey, 2009, MasterMap (Cartographic). SDV341569.

Pond shown in the southeast corner of the field on modern mapping.
