Milestone shown as 'M.S. Barnstaple 4' on 19th century map on the north side of the road.

Milestone erected circa 1879 between Fremington and Yelland opposite the path to 'Gibbs Barton' on the verge on the north side of the road. The legend reads '4/Barum/'. Worn with white painted legend and Ordnance Survey benchmark on the face above the number.
