'North Devon Polo Ground' shown.

Ordnance Survey, 1964, Untitled Source (Cartographic). SDV339898.

Site now occupied by Fremington Camp.

Vanstone, A. C., 1988, Fremington Camp (Personal Comment). SDV342229.

No sign of North Devon Polo Ground on Ordnance Survey 6 inch map of 1964. The whole area has been completely redeveloped for housing, and even the footpath which ran across the ground has completely disappeared. The field boundaries are still clearly shown.

Wessex Archaeology, 2007, RMB Chivenor Flood Defence Scheme Barnstaple, Devon: Archaeological Desk-based Assessment (Report - Assessment). SDV342125.

Corcos, N., 2011, Land at Fremington Army Camp, Fremington, North Devon: Archaeological Desk-Based Assessment, 14 (Report - Assessment). SDV348712.

Contra Vanstone, the polo ground occupied only the area later taken over by the camp, and has no relationship with the area of later housing development.
