It covers an area of roughly 20 x 15m along the southern edge of a hollow which leads to a stream. Mrs pearce has noted a substantial peat deposit along the bottom of this hollow. Virtually all the artefacts recovered, 7835 pieces, have come from this area next to the hollow. Some pieces have come from a slightly wider area have been included in the present analysis.
