Palmer Tomb chest approximately 7 metres south of south chancel wall of Church of St Peter, dated 1737. Slate on brick base and moulded brick plinth. To Jacob Palmer, Gent. (died1737) and other members of the family including William Palmer, Rector of Ashford and Vicar of Yarnscombe, (died1770). Inscription: "Palmers and Strangers our Fathers were/Such as the Aged Father buried Here." Other details: LBS 98731.
