Full description

Exeter Industrial Archaeology Group, Untitled Source (Migrated Record). SDV163616.

The 19th century barn can be seen as a culmination of the regional style. It is built of rubble masonry and has vent slits divided by sloping slates to keep out the rain. Along one long side is a row of square pillars forming an open shed. The roof trusses are 12" deep planks set on edge, in one piece from the ridge to the outshut pillars (exeter industrial archaeology group).
