Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

No 6 New Street, cottage. Probably 17th century, maybe earlier. Plastered granite stone rubble; granite stack topped with 19 brick; thatch roof.
Plan: 2-room plan cottage built along the street and facing north-west. The larger right room has an end stack. Two storeys.
Exterior: irregular 2-window front of late 19th - early 20th century casements with glazing bars. Contemporary part-glazed panelled door at left end.
Interior not available for inspection at time of survey but the cottage appears little modernised this century and therefore the survival of original carpentry detail is suspected.
