Summary

Dung pit is probably 18th century. Built of large undressed blocks of granite the circular pit is terraced into the slope in the centre of the farmyard in front of Hole farmhouse. It was unloaded from the north-eastern (downhill) side where there is a gap in the revetment walls.

Dung pit approximately 4.0 metres north of Hole farmhouse. Dung pit. Probably 18th century. Built of large undressed blocks of granite the circular pit is terraced into the slope in the centre of the farmyard in front of Hole farmhouse (qv). It was unloaded from the north-eastern (downhill) side where there is a gap in the revetment walls.
