Summary

Butterwell built into a walled bank over a natural spring. Built of blocks of roughly dressed granite. The bank faces north-east and is revetted with granite and contains a square-shaped alcove approximately 1.5 metres high roofed with a slab of granite. There is a low slab set upright across the front. There is no trace of any shelves inside. Near collihole farmhouse (doe).
