Lady House, once including a bakery and shop. Early or mid 16th century (the earliest document is lease of 1542), with major later 16th century and 17th century improvements, 18th century extension, some late 19th century modernization and renovated circa 1970. Two storeys.
A 3-room and through passage plan house facing south. Irregular three window front of 20th century casements with glazing bars. Fireplace to service end room is granite with a chamfered lintel but is reduced in width by the front window. The hall fireplace is built of granite ashlar with a soffit-chamfered and runout-stopped oak lintel under a granite relieving arch. On the right side is a massive brick bread oven over a proving oven. Roof structural features. See DOE List for full details.
