Lega-weekes, e. /tda/33(1901)399-468/the neighbours of north wyke. Part 1. East ash, a farmhouse, is probably the site of the old sub-manor of "south tawton alias ayshe". Adjoining it is the last remnant of the village of ayshe, alluded to in the church proceedings of 1618, as a small ruin (lega-weekes).
