Summary

Pecketsford bridge. Road bridge over river taw. Late c18-early c19. Local stone rubble with dressed voussoirs, granite coping stones. Single span bridge with large segmental, almost round-headed, arch. The walls rise to the parapet uninterrupted and the parapet, following the humpback of the road, rises towards the centre. The parapet walls curve out each end but have no terminal piers. The coping blocks are mostly plain but include a couple of moulded pieces reused from a domestic building (doe).

Pecketsford Bridge. Interesting survival of the ancient pack horse type, a single semi circular arch, humpy and quite blind, carrying a roadwway of 2.591m.
