Full description

(15/06/1998) SX 6214 8913, stone hut circle forming part of the partially enclosed settlement on the north-east slope of Steeperton Tor. Diameter measures 4.8m. Single orthostat wall 0.5m wide, 0.7m high. Defined by a ring of orthostats protruding through the turf. Door faces 120 degrees is 0.6m wide and is faced on both sides. South-south-west door jamb has collapsed into the passage. Deep peat in and around this building. Grass, bilberry and rushes.
