Series of well-defined earthworks to the south-east of Rudge Farm suggestive of rectilinear structures and small closes. Excavation on a length of narrow earthwork revealed a short length of stone wall on an east-west alignment with a floor of beaten clay to the south. Small fragments of pottery dated to the 13th and 14th centuries were recovered. The remains are suggestive of a domestic structure possibly the predessor of the early 15th century house.
